The start of a beautiful friendship…

Lindsay Maddox was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. A true Washingtonian down to her core, Lindsay is addicted to Starbucks and can be found inside on rainy days sipping a caramel macchiato. Lindsay has had a zeal for writing from a young age. As a child, she would often be found with her nose buried in a book or writing in her journal. Often, she would put together plays and puppet shows with her friends and her brother. These childhood games turned into a lifelong love of writing and creativity.

At the age of 21, Lindsay graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Business and Marketing. In 2005, Lindsay and her husband welcomed their first child into their lives. The addition of this little man inspired Lindsay to pick up writing by producing blogs. Since, her popular humor parenting blog Silly Mom Thoughts has taken off, reaching thousands of readers each month.

Two years after their son was born, their daughter joined their silly little brood, furthering Lindsay’s writing inspiration. As if those two weren’t inspiration enough, Lindsay and her husband welcomed twin boys in 2009.

April 2008 was the beginning of what would become an exciting journey to a freelance writing career. She began publishing content on the Yahoo! Contibutor Network and eventually found herself producing pieces for eHow and LIVESTRONG. She has also produced content for Allied Health World and copy for companies such as Montenero Photography.

In November 2008, Lindsay’s fiction short story Love & Loss won first place in the Accentuate Services Short Story Contest. Since, she has seen a number of her stories published in Twin Trinity Media’s Elements of the Soul, Elements of Time, and Elements of Dimension. She also has several more stories with anticipated publish dates within the next two years that will be featured in Twin Trinity Anthologies.

Currently, Lindsay is a contributing blogger for Lifetime Network’s The Balancing Act where she provides tales of raising her four small kids, always with a humor twist.

In addition to her writing passions, Lindsay has recently discovered a deep love of photography and web design. She offers inexpensive rates for event photography and web design services. For more information, visit Lindsay Maddox: Web Design and Photography sites.
